Threshold is built and operated by Monkhouse and Partners Limited, a company registered in England and Wales. By installing the app or using this website you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please uninstall the app and stop using the site.

Threshold is a watchdog. It reads public METAR and TAF weather feeds, cross-checks them against the personal minima you set, and shows you a GO, HOLD or NO verdict on your iPhone Lock Screen and Home Screen widgets.

Threshold is not your pre-flight planning. It does not replace your CAA-required planning, your formal briefing, your NOTAM check, your fuel and weight calculation, your aircraft inspection, your judgement, or anything else the pilot in command is responsible for. It is a glanceable second opinion. Treat it as one.

The verdict logic is deterministic and documented at /verdicts. You can reproduce every verdict by hand with the source METAR and TAF open. We strongly recommend you do, especially while you are learning how the app handles edge cases.

You alone are responsible for the safety of every flight. Threshold cannot see your aircraft, cannot see the runway, and cannot see you. Weather feeds can be late, wrong, or unavailable. The minima you entered may not be the minima that apply to this flight. If Threshold and your own judgement disagree, trust your judgement and the formal briefing. To the fullest extent permitted by law, neither Monkhouse and Partners Limited nor anyone involved in producing Threshold accepts any liability for decisions you make based on what the app shows you, or for the consequences of those decisions.

The iOS app is free to install. Threshold offers a 7-day free trial. After the trial, a paid subscription is required to keep the widgets, Live Activity, and continuous-watch features running. Current pricing is shown in the App Store at the moment you subscribe and may change with notice. All payments are processed by Apple. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled.

You can cancel at any time from your Apple ID subscription settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not process refunds directly; refund requests are handled by Apple under its standard App Store refund policy.

You agree to use Threshold only for the lawful purposes of recreational and private general-aviation flying within the jurisdictions where it is intended to operate. You agree not to reverse engineer the app, scrape the website, or use either to build a competing product. We may suspend access if we reasonably believe these terms are being broken.

Weather data is sourced from public aviation feeds including aviationweather.gov and equivalent regional providers. Airfield data comes from the open-licence OurAirports dataset. Subscriptions are billed by Apple and routed through RevenueCat, Inc. We do not control these third parties and cannot guarantee their continuous availability or accuracy.

The Threshold name, logo, app, marketing site, and underlying engine are the intellectual property of Monkhouse and Partners Limited. You are granted a personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app for the duration of your subscription. Nothing on this page transfers ownership.

We may change these terms. If we do, we will update the “last updated” date at the top and, where the change is material, notify you in the app the next time you open it. Continued use after the change is taken as acceptance.

These terms and any dispute arising from them are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to your statutory rights as a consumer.
